Again - things are going not as planned - still with a sick child - however, I did manage to get in my exercise today - and feel much better because of it..... Also, work was not an ordinary day and was in the pool most of the day - so my snacks kinda all got shoved to the lunchtime. However, I did pass up some really good cookies and chips that were sitting on my desk.... Really wanted them - but proud that I didn't eat them. Feeding ice cream to my sick child - I slipped and took a big spoonful... If that is all of the wagon that I fall off of today - it is a positive. I really realize how much junk I did eat between meals even when I didn't really feel hungry.
One day closer to getting healthier. Thanks God....

Day One and counting down
Can I just say that starting a journey always begins with the planning and praying in this instance. I am so determined to follow this journey to the end. Well day one is about over - and it was tough on many fronts. Exercise in the am was pushed aside secondary to a sick child. Eating every 2 or so hours seemed to make me hungry - but got through it all. It is tough wanting to get back into shape and healthy for my husband and my child - but most of all for myself... Lord help me to stick with it... one day at a time.

It begins
This is the beginning of a journey that is about 6 years in the making.... and 35 pounds later. Not that the 35 pound addition has come without good things. I got married, had a baby, and am enjoying life. I would just like to do it a little lighter. I will be using this to journal the journey. I am going to jump start it with a 6 day jump start - that really tries to step up my metabolism. It will hold me accountable to how I am doing each day. Both my feelings and what the scale states at the end of the journey. My Long term goal is to lose 35 pounds which will get me out of the obese BMI and back into the normal range. Short term - want to try and lose down to 8 pounds in 6 weeks - which I think is do-able. The start date is Monday november 12 - so here we go.
